Bayesian Models in Perception and Representation

Bayesian approaches have become central to contemporary philosophy of mind, cognitive science, and artificial intelligence. In this seminar, Dr. Rescorla will discuss Bayesian models of perception and mental representation, highlighting their explanatory role in cognition and examining ongoing debates about levels of computational explanation in both biological and artificial systems.
